FAQs
01. Is it really the sky from my date?
Yes. We calculate the exact position of the stars for the date, time and place you give us, past or future, so every print is different.
02. How exact does the location need to be?
A town or city is enough. The stars look the same across a whole area, so a postcode or address isn't needed. The location isn't printed unless you add it to your text.
03. Do I need to give a time?
It is more accurate if you do. If you leave it blank, we show the sky at 10pm on your date.
04. Does it work for anywhere in the world?
Yes. The sky is drawn for the location you give, so it is correct for places in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
05. Can I have the coordinates printed?
Yes. Type them into one of the custom text lines, for example 51.5072° N, 0.1276° W, and we print them exactly as written.
06. What can I personalise?
When you order, fill in title, names, date and location.
07. Can you change the colours, wording or font?
Yes. We design every print in-house, so we can change the colours, wording or font. Add a note at checkout, or email hello@blimandblum.com before you order.
08. Can I see a proof before it is printed?
If you would like to check it first, choose "Yes please" under Proof Required? when ordering. We email you a proof within 24 hours and only print once you approve it, and you can ask for changes at that stage. A proof adds about 1 business day. Without it, we print as soon as it is ready.
09. Is the size the print or the frame?
The size listed is the print. The frame sits around it, so a framed piece is a little larger overall.
10. What frame options are there?
You can order it unframed, or framed in black gallery wood or white gallery wood.
11. Is the frame glazed?
Yes, with cast acrylic: clear, light and much safer to post than glass. If you would like a different glazing, such as low-reflection, contact us before ordering.
12. Does it arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Framed prints are professionally framed and arrive ready to hang. Unframed prints are sent flat if they are small, or rolled if they are large.
13. What paper is it printed on?
Thick 310gsm archival cotton-rag paper, rated for a print life of more than 85 years.
14. How long does delivery take?
Every print is made to order and dispatched tracked. Please order in good time before your occasion. Live delivery timings are shown at checkout.
What makes it special
Our unique float frames use wood mouldings manufactured in Italy and assembled by hand in our studio in London, UK. The deckled edge print is then float mounted and presented in the frame to create the effect.
