The story

About this print

A personalised Ordnance Survey map print centred on the place that means something to you — a home, a wedding venue, a favourite walk or a summit. Add optional custom text in the lower right, such as the place name, names or a date.

Our bespoke float mounted frame is designed specifically to show off the handmade deckled edges of the print. The artwork is float mounted onto the backing board and set inside a solid FSC wood gallery frame, so the torn edges and the depth of the cotton paper stay visible.

Coverage: England, Scotland, Wales and their associated islands. Northern Ireland is not covered by this map series.

Printed in-house in the UK on 100% sustainable cotton rag paper with a genuine deckled edge. Made to order, carefully packed and dispatched with tracked delivery.

FAQs

01. Which areas can the OS map show?

Anywhere in England, Scotland and Wales, including their islands. Ordnance Survey mapping does not cover Northern Ireland or anywhere outside Great Britain. For a location abroad, try our Special Place Map.

02. What scale is the OS map?

1:25,000 (OS Explorer) as standard. If you would prefer 1:50,000 (OS Landranger), add a note when ordering.

03. How much area will my print cover?

It depends on the print size: larger sizes cover more ground. If you want it zoomed in or out, add a note at checkout. Choose a proof when ordering to check the area before we print.

04. What should I enter as the location?

An address, postcode, village, landmark or what3words. For a walk or summit, the name of the peak works well.

05. Can I add my own text?

Yes. Add names, a date or the place name, shown in the lower right of the print.

06. What is a float mounted frame?

The print is float mounted onto the backing board so its handmade deckled edges stay visible, then set in a solid FSC wood gallery frame in black or white.

07. Can I see the design before it is printed?

If you would like to check it first, choose "Yes please" under Proof Required? when ordering. We email you a proof within 24 hours and only print once you approve it, and you can ask for changes at that stage. A proof adds about 1 business day. Without it, we print as soon as it is ready.

08. What paper is it printed on?

100% sustainable cotton-rag paper with a genuine deckled edge, printed in-house in the UK.

09. How long does delivery take?

Every print is made to order and dispatched tracked. Please order in good time before your occasion. Live delivery timings are shown at checkout.

What makes it special

Our unique float frames use wood mouldings manufactured in Italy and assembled by hand in our studio in London, UK. The deckled edge print is then float mounted and presented in the frame to create the effect.
